Plant care app
A minimalistic and lightweight app for gardening enthusiasts and professionals. Smooth card shapes and pleasant pastel colors make the app design attractive. The functionality of the app is intuitive and not overloaded with elements.
Task
Develop a design for a plant care app, the main task of which is to help grow healthy plants. And also develop a design for a smart calendar with a system of reminders about watering and fertilizing plants.
Before starting to develop the design, I analyzed several applications with similar functionality and highlighted the advantages that in my opinion seemed successful, as well as highlighted the problems that competitors had. This gave me an understanding of how to organize the screens and arrange the elements while maintaining the internal hierarchy that the app was originally supposed to have.
A moodboard was created, which defined the key color scheme of the application. Next, I designed the screen sketches with the location of elements on them based on the navigation map of the future application.
The final stage was the creation of individual style of all elements of the application and color palette. Also font pairs were selected. A special font was selected for headings, which in some letters resembles curly plants.
